Get Real with God

Get Real with God!

Saturday Devotion Time

 Read John 4:4-26; Psalm 139:1-4, 13-16

If God were to sit next to you this morning and open the book of your life how would you feel as he read all the things that you aren't proud of?

How do you think the Samaritan woman felt knowing that Jesus knew here entire life story? How would you have reacted?

How did Jesus approach the Samaritan woman? was he harsh, condemning, conversational, relational, friendly, distant, compassionate, hateful? Why did he approach her this way?

According to Psalm 139:13-16 Who is it that knows you better than you know yourself? Why?

Now read Psalm 139:1-4 again. According to this verse is there anything that you have done, thought, said or implied that God does not know? Why or why not?

Jesus' Style is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. With the story of the Samaritan woman we see how Jesus approaches people. Knowing what God knows and thinks of you from Psalm 139, how would Jesus approach you this morning and what would his message be to you?

Application: Sometime today approach 5 different people with the Jesusstyle and say to them "Did you know that God thinks of you and he says 'I love you man (woman)!'"
