How many times is the word "Trinity" found in the Bible? 0

Orthodox Christianity for two millenniums has defined and defended the concept of the three-in one God as a Bedrock belief of the faith, why?

Purpose of this sermon: to provide you with a basic Biblical knowledge of the concept humanity has labeled the Trinity.

Why do you need this knowledge? Chuck Swindoll in his book Growing Deep in the Christian Life gives six reasons Christians need to be grounded in truth with Biblical knowledge:

  1. Knowledge gives stability to faith.
  2. Knowledge stabilizes us during times of testing.
  3. Knowledge enables us to handle the bible accurately
  4. Knowledge enables us to detect and confront error
  5. Knowledge makes us confident in our daily walk with God
  6. Knowledge f    out our fears and superstitions

What does the Bible teach about the three-in-one God? (These are just a few verses on the topic)

    • God the Spirit - Acts 5:3-4
  2. All three are mentioned together in the Bible as the divine three-in-one God:

    • 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
    • 2 Corinthians 13:14
    • 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
