Quotes:
One day God will judge the nations of the world, and their monuments
will lie in ruins. No matter how powerful the nation, all will crumble
beneath the outpouring of God's holy wrath. We can be confident that
Jesus Christ, the King of kings, will rule the world in righteousness,
justice, and peace. What a glorious prospect!

To avoid developing a bitter spirit in your life, faithfully serve and obey the Lord in the place where He has called you.
Trust God to bless you in His time, in His way, and according to
His plan.

Are you fishing for men? Have you tried different methods to tell others about Christ and the gospel? Have you reached out to your neighborhood and community with the good news? Keep following
Jesus, and He'll teach you how to fish.

When a sparrow falls, the Father takes note of it. But He cares
much more for people, including the "underbird."

This Christmas, let's keep foremost in our minds the reason for
the celebration--the birth of God's Son. Then, as people listen to our
words and observe our activities, they won't ask, "Where's the
baby Jesus?"

xRef When we live out our faith in Christ, we're bound to attract the attention of others and may even face persecution. We know
our sins are forgiven, and we look forward to being with Jesus
forever in heaven. We want to share our faith with others,
and some people will want to know the reason for our
hope (1 Peter 3:15). When questions come, let's be ready to
give a witness.

xRef The author of Psalm 104, recounting the works of God in a lofty
hymn of praise, used the "great and wide sea" as an example of
God's creative power and wisdom (vv.24-25). The Lord rules over all
the "innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great" that inhabit the oceans (v.25). The psalmist referred in poetic terms
to the ocean as the playground of Leviathan, a giant sea monster
that God "made to play there" (v.26).

Is the romance still going on in our relationship with Jesus?
When we first came in faith to Christ, we experienced the joy of knowing our sins were forgiven and we were adopted into His family. Our hearts were full and verflowing with love for the Lord. We longed to please Him.
Dave Enger

xRef Let your prayers be incense. In the tabernacle of the Jews, incense was burned continually to offer a sweet savor to the Lord (Exodus 30:7-8). Our prayers are like incense to God (Psalm 141:2), bringing to His nostrils the pleasing scent of our adoration and need for Him. Dave Enger
